So, I’m at a friends house, who ironically I’ve been at the night before.
It’s been a long night and it’s around 3am. I decide to get to bed as I’m meant to be up early for some unknown reason in the morning.
At this party, there is a girl who I like a ridiculously large amount, and she starts coming onto me, I am moderately confused by this as she’s never made it clear she has the affections she is currently portraying, but I am in no way unhappy about the situation and I let it go how it goes. After a while of fondling the girl leaves hastily for no apparent reason, and another girl who I’ve gotten to know very well quite recently (who has a boyfriend I must mention) comes into the room, and all of a sudden she’s handcuffed to a bed completely naked as I’m thrusting deeply and passionately. This goes on for a very pleasurable few minutes until finally we’ve both finished and lay next to each other and fall asleep.
Then I wake up in bed and have another false awakening. Strange.

Sorry for the lack of blogging lately.

My internet’s been on the blink, working a lot, and I’ve not even had a single dream (never mind lucid) in well over two weeks.

Let me sort my head out and I’ll be back shortly!

Much love.

I’m walking around Morrisons and I find some shredded wheat, upon impulse to buy them I put them in my basket and look up, seeing Billy Connolly stood there.
He says he has something funny to do and asks me to watch. He goes up to the nearest person and hands them a deck of cards, they feel the weight of them. He then gives them a massive pack of toilet rolls and runs away laughing. The shop gradually starts getting larger and eventually I wake up after looking into a bright light on the ceiling.

I’m having a night out in sheffield when I meet a friend, we get talking and after a while I feel the need to sleep with her. Via teleportation I arrive at her house, and she has stopped halfway up her stairs, and she says her boyfriend is in bed. I teleport again into the bed upstairs and my friend walks in and says “Oh it’s only you” and then we have some of the best sex ever, but it’s strange because I’ve only ever considered this once before, years ago.
Then, in the morning the boyfriend arrives and he’s fuming. I jump out of bed and start punching him in the chest repeatedly, he ends up going out of the window, and I start drawing on the wall. I get half way through writing something when I accidentally stick the pencil into my finger, waking me up.

False Awakenings

These are little strange dreams that can sometimes become recursive.
A prime example was myself three days ago when I happened to have four false awakenings in a row.

Simply, a false awakening is where the dreamer wakes up from their dreaming pattern (most commonly from a lucid dream, but on the odd occasion, from an unconscious dream) and goes by their usual morning tasks. In my case getting my clothes on, eating breakfast, leaving for work etc.
The strange part is where the dreamer notices something out of the ordinary that means they could only be dreaming. So, in simple terms, you dream that you have woken up, and then realise you haven’t, and the whole process starts again.

As I explained above this can become recursive, upto a ridiculously large cycle that sometimes spans the length of the night, some people claim to have hundreds of these in a row, but personally I’ve never had more than 6/7.

If you’re wondering, I always wake up, eat breakfast, get dressed, brush my teeth, and when I spit my toothpaste out, I look up towards my mirror and realise I have no reflection. Which shocks me awake from that dream (either actually awake or into another false awakening cycle.)

So, there you have it. A small insight into false awakenings.

Dream on, guys.

About

This blog is quite simply a place where you can find out more about the phenomenon which is dreaming. Mainly focusing on "Lucid Dreaming" the blog is a mixture of my own and submitted experiences people have from dreaming. I will also maintain this blog with as much information on lucid dreaming also, as I find simply reading up on lucidity or something similar will increase the chances of having a lucid dream. Confused? Good! Go check out some of the pages for more information.
